Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the festive season and time with loved ones. I was certainly lucky spending time with my family and taking a few rest days in sunny Halliday’s Point. 😁
The Gateway Life project stalled towards the end of last year due to the Construction Certificate process. This was a learning curve for Community Gateway, and it seems for our designer, project manager and building company. Last year, the building industry had several changes that occurred primarily around enhancing the scrutinization of compliance and the introduction of the NSW Planning Portal. It was with relief that prior to Christmas we (Community Gateway) gained the much sort after Construction Certificate! Yay 🎉🎉!! 2023 will see a ramp up of the building works with delivery of the project by the end of March, this means the Project Working Group is preparing for a very busy 3 months! 👷🏻♂️👷🏻♀️
The Gateway Life team will continue our recruitment drive with several key positions yet to be recruited. We will soon be advertising for the Customer Experience Team Leader, this role will oversee the administration functions, café, gym sales and will also grow several team members to help support Gateway Life operations.

Currently, the superstar 🦸♂️🦸♀️🦹♀️🦹♂️ ⭐ allied health team include Nina (OT), Besh (Physio), Sam (Exercise Physiologist), and a Monique (Dietitian). The team have availability for new referrals to complete clinic-based appointments in the Wollongong Hub or home visits in the Wollongong/ Shoalhaven area whilst we wait for Gateway Life to open.
